It has been fifteen years since the house restored by Seyseysha.

The house once was going to rot, but now a healthy taste is still alive regardless of its past circumstance.

In the past, it was vacant for a long time. There was in the mountains, so flying squirrels lived on the ceiling and raccoon dogs lived under the floor. After repair construction, it was not long before we moved. Ventilation and sunshine was improved after we cut bushes surrounding the house by little and little and took in flesh air everyday. The house was literally restored.

The contrast between a century-old ceiling or old fixtures and the new jointed pillar and relaid floor still stands out. The original and new things each declare as a part of the structure of the house.

Having said that, the repaired part has been fifteen years old and it has a half-decent face passed the years. The time that has passed blend in with the whole old house.

Thanks to having the opportunity of restoring, the house stands for almost 100 years. It will probably continue to hold longer as long as someone lives in. And I think, if it had been a work by someone but Mr. Fukada, it would not have happened. When we thought about repair the house, most other contractors walked around the house just once and they suggested that it was faster if you teared down the old house and built a new one. Only Mr. Fukada inspected the situation of the attic and under the floor in detail and he accepted the repair. He’s a benefactor of the house.
